Limited Edition McLaren 650S Can-Am Introduced

McLaren has launched the limited edition 650S Can-Am to celebrate 50 years of Can-Am racing. The car will be limited to just 50 units worldwide.

Based on the McLaren 650S, the Can-Am takes design inspiration from the racing series cars that McLaren raced between 1967 and 1971, winning five consecutive times.

Carbon fibre has been used in abundance, and some of the notable features are the retractable hard top bonnet, air brake, front splitter, rear bumper, door blades and sill cover, all made of carbon fibre.

The car features quad stainless steel exhaust system.

On the inside, customers are treated to leather and alcantara sports seats and a number of carbon fibre accents. The car is available in Mars Red, Papaya Spark (orange) and Onyx Black.

Powering the car is a 3.8-litre, twin turbo V8 engine that produces 650 PS and 671 Nm of peak torque. This enable the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds and attain a top speed of 329 km/h.

The McLaren 650S Can-Am is priced from £255,850 onwards.
