Maruti To Benefit From Suzuki-Proton Deal For Malaysia
Maruti Suzuki is one of the most accomplished subsidiaries for the Japanese automobile maker. They have dominated the Indian four-wheeler segment in terms of exceptional sales.
Now Suzuki has signed a deal with Proton to provide certain vehicles for Malaysian market. There is a huge possibility that Maruti Suzuki will produce these vehicles and ship them out.
The Make In India mantra seems to be working and Maruti Suzuki will utilise it to their benefit. They are sure to witness a boost in vehicle export as it has the maximum resources to produce vehicles.
It is most probable that models like Maruti Suzuki's Alto, Celerio and Wagon R could be demanded by the Proton deal. All products will be offered as Completely Knocked Down units.
Currently Maruti Suzuki id exporting CKD units of Ertiga and Ritz to Indonesian market. Japanese manufacturer could decide to extend the export of these product as well to other international markets.
Proton will most likely assemble Maruti Suzuki products at its Malaysian facility. It is most likely that these products would bear Proton badges across them, it is a common practice followed by several other companies as well.
