Maruti Suzuki Celerio Diesel Variant Probable Launch Next Month
Maruti Suzuki had launched its new hatchback for India during 2014 Auto Expo. The Japanese manufacturer christened its vehicle as ‘Celerio'.
The manufacturer launched their Celerio model, which replaced their most sought after vehicle in India. It replaced their most sold hatchback in India the Maruti 800.
Celerio, however, was launched only with a petrol engine powering it. Ever since then there has been talk and rumour of Maruti Suzuki providing a diesel mill under Celerio's hood.
The success of this vehicle has been the AMT option provided by Maruti Suzuki at an affordable price. It has changed how Indians look and think about automatic vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki has been stocking up diesel variants of Celerio at their manufacturing facility. They are most probably going to launch Celerio diesel by May, 2015.
Here are the technical specifications of Maruti Suzuki Celerio diesel:
- Engine: 800cc diesel mill
- Horsepower: 58
- Torque: 150Nm
- Gearbox: 5-speed manual
- Fuel efficiency: 30 kpl expected
In terms of pricing Celerio diesel is expected to cost more than the petrol variant. Maruti Suzuki will be introducing variants as well, however, it will not be getting an AMT option.
