Maruti Suzuki Baleno Hatchback Unveiled At 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show

Maruti Suzuki will be manufacturing the Baleno premium hatchback from their Indian facility. It has now been unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, prior to its launch in Indian market.

Kunihiko, Chief Engineer of Baleno, expressed, "We set our sights on developing the ideal hatchback, one that makes no compromises, giving it an elegant, sophisticated and grown-up character."

He further added, "The Baleno perfectly embodies all the elements expected in a car of this size, design, utility, comfort, maneuverability, superior driving performance, and fuel efficiency."

Both petrol and diesel engine options will be offered in India, in the form of a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine. Maruti Suzuki could offer an SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki), option later on as well.

The Baleno hatchback will feature Apple CarPlay, which will enhance in car entertainment experience. Maruti Suzuki will be offering it as a premium hatchback and will be sold exclusively through Nexa outlets.

In India, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback will compete with the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo. The Japanese based manufacturer will be launching their product in India first.
