Why Pay More? Book The All-New Maruti Baleno (Hatchback) Now!
Maruti Suzuki launched the Baleno premium hatchback in India on October 26, 2015. There is a high possibility of the Baleno witnessing a price hike post-Diwali. Maruti Suzuki introduced its premium hatchback at an introductory price of Rs. 4.99 lakh ex-showroom for the petrol model, and Rs. 6.16 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) for the diesel model.
So far, Maruti Suzuki confirms they have received over 12,000 enquiries for the Baleno and have recorded over 4,500 bookings within the first two days post launch. With Diwali (just) around the corner, sales are expected to soar even higher.
Powering the Baleno is a 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 83bhp and 115Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an optional 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox. The diesel model is powered by a 1,248cc engine, which is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, producing 74bhp and 190Nm of torque.
The Baleno is sold exclusively through Maruti Suzuki's NEXA dealerships. Currently, Maruti Suzuki is focussing on increasing the NEXA outlets across India. The company plan's on inaugurating over 100 NEXA outlets in the following six to eight months. Maruti Suzuki is also looking at manufacturing the Baleno in India and export this premium hatchback to over 100 international markets by the end of next year.
