Mahindra U301 Name & Other Details To Be Revealed On 30th July
Mahindra has been testing several new products in India, that are expected to be launched soon. They will now be revealing details on their U301 project, which is a smaller version of the Bolero.
On the 30th of July, 2015 Mahindra is most likely to reveal the name and several other details. They would not be revealing the U301 vehicle, however, a launch date could be provided.
The Indian manufacturer has realised that the compact segment is growing in the country. Mahindra is currently working on the U301, S101 and S102 - all three are compact SUV models.
The U301 is based on a ladder chassis and will share similarities with the Mahindra Bolero. This model could be targeted at rural markets where robust and simpler vehicles are appreciated.
Mahindra will also be revealing the engine options that will power the U301 compact SUV. It is most likely not to get a petrol engine, but an AMT along with a manual transmission will be included.
The interior will be luxurious and somewhat similar to that seen on new Scorpio. Mahindra is changing their brand image and are targeting younger audiences for a wider customer base across India.
