Mahindra TUV300 Details Emerge Prior To 10th September Launch
Mahindra will be launching their latest compact SUV in the country on 10th of September, 2015. This will be their first of many new launches in Indian market by the domestic manufacturer.
They have christened their vehicle as ‘TUV300' and it has been dubbed as a tank or fortress. Mahindra explains that the inspiration for this model came from battle tanks and their build quality.
Under the hood of TUV300 will be an all-new mHawk80, 1.5-litre three cylinder diesel engine. It is the same engine that is used in their Quanto, however, Mahindra has updated this engine for better driving experience.
Pre-bookings have already commenced and official dealers were accepting INR 20,000 as booking amount. Mahindra TUV300 is expected to bear a starting price of INR 6,50,000 ex-showroom.
TUV300 will have to face tough competition from Ford's EcoSport, which is its closest rival. Mahindra will have a small advantage as their TUV300 will be capable of accommodating seven individuals.
We are also expecting Mahindra to offer ABS and front airbags as standard equipment in their TUV300. Stay tuned for more updates from tomorrow's launch as we will be present and offering live feed through Twitter.
