Mahindra S101 Mini SUV Could Be Named XUV100
Mahindra will be launching their all-new compact SUV the TUV300 in India on 10th of September, 2015. This is not the end and just the beginning of many new launches from Mahindra.
Their all-new mini SUV is being tested constantly and is known as S101, which is the company codename for their vehicle. Mahindra will soon be christening this model as well, which will be launched soon.
The S101 is most likely to be christened as XUV100 for Indian as well as international markets. Indian automobile manufacturer has trademarked ‘XUV100' and is most likely to use it for their mini SUV.
Mahindra XUV100 model will be place below their Quanto model and is expected to be based on a hatchback with SUV like ground clearance. Currently there are no competitors in this segment.
Crossover segment could pose a threat to Mahindra's new XUV100 model. Fiat Avventura, Volkswagen Cross Polo, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Toyota Etios Cross are all great competition.
Mahindra has not confirmed with us the technical specifications of XUV100. There is no details of power unit under the hood, however, we are confident that the mini SUV will be offered with petrol and diesel engine options.
