Mahindra Inaugurates Extended Manufacturing Facility In Telangana
Mahindra is one the Indian based automobile manufactures that is expected to do well in the coming years. To cope with additional demand they need more manufacturing output.
The Indian manufacturer has inaugurated an extended automotive manufacturing facility. Mahindra has built this facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana as an extension to their previous facility.
This new facility was inaugurated by K. Chandrashekar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana. Mahindra & Mahindra has invested approximately INR 250 crore in this state of the art extended facility.
Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. commented, "Our Zaheerabad plant incorporates a flexible and agile approach to manufacturing which will ensure that it is able to respond rapidly to evolving customer needs."
He further added, "With our investment of over Rs. 1,100 crore till date and employment generation of over 3,500 between both our tractor and auto plants, we are significantly invested in the state of Telangana."
This extended manufacturing facility has a capacity of producing 92,000 vehicle per year. This can be increased to meet growing demands of the customer.
Mahindra's extended facility in Telangana will take care of of the soon to be launched commercial vehicle, the P601. The facility will also be used to manufacture several other commercial vehicles for domestic and export purposes.
