Magneti Marelli Powers 5 Of 7 Finalists Of ‘2015 Car Of The Year'
Italian auto component manufacturer, Magneti Marelli provides various vehicle parts for automobile manufacturers. They have now announced that their technology or component is in five of the seven finalists for 2015 Car of the Year award.
The seven finalists for 2015 Car of the year award are Volkswagen Passat, Citroen C4 Cactus, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Ford Mondeo, Nissan Qashqai, BMW 2-Series Active Tourer and Renault Twingo.
Magneti Marelli provides the VW Passat with LED rear lights and a motorised throttle in their 1.4 FSI engine. The Passat sedan has won 2015 Car of the year award. The Italian component manufacturer has paid a vital role in the success of their vehicle.
The C4 Cactus by Citroen uses a multimedia infotainment system, which is known as the ‘Touch Pad' and comes with a 7-inch high-resolution display. Magneti Marelli has also provided an electronic control unit and hydraulic kit for their AMT. Throttle body and pumps for their GDI fuel system has also been acquired.
BMW 2-Series Active Tourer have sourced an infotainment system, which is based on open source technology concept. This system provides navigation, internet access, wireless connectivity and superior graphics. Magneti Marelli also provides BMW with halogen, Bi-Xenon headlights and LED rear lights.
Magneti Marelli provides Mercedes-Benz C-Class with their latest headlight fixtures. They offer halogen, LED and LED adaptive lights. In Ford Mondeo, the Italian component manufacturer provides LED rear lamps.
