Lewis Hamilton Wins Monza GP & Crushes Rosberg’s Championship Dream
Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen started Monza GP from the front row. The British driver made a clean start and ran ahead, Kimi due to some error could not move and was forced down the pack.
Sebastian Vettel made the most out of this and slotted himself into second place. The Ferrari was no match to Mercedes of Hamilton, who was 25 seconds ahead throughout 53 laps.
Nico Rosberg had the worse time as his car burst into flames with just two laps remaining. Hamilton now has a 53 point lead in the Championship over his teammate and closest rival.
Kimi Raikkonen fought valiantly from last position and gave Ferrari fans their moneys worth. He finished the race in fifth position and if his start was not botched would surely finish on podium.
Force India had a great outing and both vehicles secured points at 2015 Monza GP. Sergio Perez finished in sixth, while Nico Hulkenberg finished the race in seventh place securing vital points.
Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso fought between themselves for 14th place. The Spaniard, however, lost this battle as he was forced to retire during the closing stages of Monza GP.
Next race will be held from 18th to 20th of September, 2015 at Singapore. As always the Marina Bay Street Circuit will be a night race and visual treat for all Formula One fans.
