Lewis Hamilton Agrees To Race With Mercedes For 100 Million Pounds
There have been several rumours of Lewis Hamilton could be moving to another team for 2016 Formula One championship. The Brit has finally put all rumours to rest prior to Monaco GP.
He has confirmed that he will continue to race with Mercedes team for a sum of 100 million Pounds. Hamilton was rumoured to be in talks with Ferrari for a potential seat next year.
Mercedes will be making an official announcement regarding Hamilton's new deal at Monaco GP. His teammate Nico Rosberg has also confirmed that he will be racing for Mercedes last year itself.
Lewis Hamilton had suspended talks previously as he wanted to focus on winning last years championship. Talks for a new contract commenced with the beginning of 2015 F1 season.
The British racer has also stated that this would not be his last contract. He is one of the few drivers that has won a championship for two different teams and is keen on winning a third with a new manufacturer thus, cementing his legacy.
Hamilton is currently leading the 2015 Formula One championship, he is closely followed by his teammate Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel. Scuderia Ferrari has taken a giant leap forward and is Mercedes biggest rival this season.
