Lamborghini To Limit New Twin-Turbo V8 Engine To Urus SUV
oi-Dennis
By Dennis
Lamborghini has stated that 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 going into the upcoming Urus SUV is unlikely to be installed in the company's Aventador and Huracan Supercars any time in the near future.
According to a report in Autocar UK, Lamborghini Chief executive Stephan Winkelmann, the company had discussions over using the bew powerplant in its supercars but decided against it because it conflicted with Lamborghini's 'one car, one engine' ethos.
Winkelmann did not rule out using turbocharged engines if they do find an engine that is better at low revs or "in terms of the sound that the V10 and V12 have."
