Lamborghini Huracan Rear-wheel-drive To Be Showcased At LA Motor Show
Lamborghini Huracan rear-wheel-drive (RWD) is all set to be showcased at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show. The motor show is being organised from November 20 - 29, 2015. The launch of the new RWD Huracan version will be in 2016.
Concerning design, the new RWD Lamborghini Huracan will be identical to its predecessor. Lamborghini could slap an RWD badge on the rear or side of their exotic supercar, which will be the only differentiator between the all-wheel-drive (AWD) and RWD Huracan models on offer by Lamborghini.
The RWD Huracan is expected to use the standard 5.2-litre, V10, naturally aspirated engine. Lamborghini has tuned this mammoth engine to produce 602.12bhp and 560Nm of peak torque. The engine will continue to be paired with a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission with Drive Select.
Lamborghini wants to offer its Huracan customers with as many variations as possible. The RWD is just an option and could be offered globally in limited numbers as well. Lamborghini Huracan RWD could also be offered later on in a Spyder version.
Huracan is Lamborghini's entry-level supercar for global markets. The Huracan had a monumental task of taking up the role created by its predecessor, the Gallardo. Lamborghini Gallardo was the company's best-selling model, and Huracan had huge shoes to fill in, which it did rather easily.
The RWD Huracan is most likely to be offered in India as well; however, it could be introduced much later. Lamborghini currently offers the Huracan AWD model in India, which is priced at Rs. 3.43 crore ex-showroom (Delhi).
