Karun Chandhok To Race Le Mans 24 Hour With Murphy Prototype
Current Formula E driver for Mahindra Racing, Karun Chandhok has announced that he will be racing in Le Mans 24 hour competition. This will be the third time the Indian ace will be participating in the endurance race.
The Indian racer will drive for Murphy Prototype team, who use an Oreca 03R Nissan powered LMP2 machine. He will be partnering the same drivers as he did in the previous year.
Sharing the Murphy Prototype race machine with Karun Chandhok will be Nathanael Berthon and Mark Patterson. The trio have raced together during the 2013 and 2014 endurance competition.
The 2015 Le Mans 24 Hour race will be held on 13th to 14th of June. It will be contested at Circuit de la Sarthe near Le Mans in France. This circuit is 13.6 kilometre long and tests the drivers as they attempt to write their name in the history books.
Karun Chandhok drives full time for Mahindra Racing and he recently had a bad race at Long Beach ePrix, which was held on 4th April, 2015. The Indian finished 12th, while his teammate Bruno Senna finished in fifth position.
