J.D. Power Asia Pacific Original Tyre Customer Satisfaction Data

Indian customers are becoming more and more vocal about problems with their vehicles. J.D. Power Asia pacific has revealed its data pertaining to original equipment(OE) fitted tyres over five years in India.

In the customer satisfaction test JK Tyre ranked the highest and was followed by MRF and Bridgestone. 4,079 responses from new vehicle owners between May, 2012 to August, 2013 was collected.

The report also suggested that there are far less problem citied by customers regarding their tyres fitted by manufactures. This means the quality of tyres has improved and is a good sign for customers.

Mohit Arora, Executive Director, J.D. Power Asia Pacific, commented, "With the continuous quality and performance improvement of OE fitted tires over the past five years, customers are increasingly satisfied."

He added, "This bodes well for the tire industry considering that demand in the replacement tire market is driven by customer perceptions of their original equipment tires. Customers who are satisfied with their OE tires are more likely to repurchase the same brand again."

J.D. Power Asia Pacific Report took into consideration four factors. Appearance was given top priority, followed by ride, durability and traction/ handling. Tyre manufacturers have improved in all these aspects thus, there are far less complaints from buyers.
