Jaguar XE 2016: All-Wheel Drive Among 2016 Changes

Jaguar has released an update for its new XE model for the 2016 model year.

Jag has added among other items to the options list of the XE, a part-time all-wheel-drive system which only sends power to all the wheels, if it detects that the rear wheels have lost traction. The transfer time from rear-wheel drive to all-wheel drive is a miniscule 165 milliseconds. All-wheel-drive models also have the Adaptive Surface Response added in.

Other new options include allowing individual settings for gearshift speed, throttle response, and the adaptive dampers. Driver aids like the Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Speed Limiter and a Driver Condition Monitor are also part of the options list. on the options list.

Also part of the options list is 10.2 inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment system found on the XF. It's brings improved graphics and new features, including intelligent navigation that tells others if you're running late, Apple Watch connectivity, and a WiFi hotspot for up to eight devices . A 17-speaker, 825W Meridian Sound System is also available.
