IndyCar Driver Justin Wilson Dies After Crash
IndyCar driver Justin Wilson has died after sustaining injuries during Sunday's race at Pocono Raceway. Wilson's family has released a statement announcing the news.
Wilson sustained injuries after debris from Sage Karam's car on Sunday during the ABC Supply 500. Replays of the incident show that the nose cone from Karam's car hit Wilson's helmet, before he crashed into the side wall.
He suffered injuries to his head and was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Health Network Cedar Crest Hospital. Wilson was in a coma.

Lynne,
his
wife
Julia,
and
his
brother
Stefan
share
the
news
that
Justin
passed
away
today
after
succumbing
to
injuries
suffered
during
the
Verizon
IndyCar
event
at
Pocono
Raceway
on
Sunday,
August
23."
