Hyundai Verna Facelift Launching In India On 18th February, 2015
South-Korean automobile manufacturer, Hyundai had launched its first Verna in India during 2006. Now in 2015 the manufacturer will be launching its fourth generation sedan called ‘4S Verna Fluidic'.
Hyundai explains that the term 4S stands for Safety, Style, Speed and Sophistication. Their all-new sedan will be launched in India on the 18th of February, 2015. The manufacturer has completely redesigned their sedan and will be appealing to many buyers.
The 2015 Verna is currently on sale in several markets as Solaris. In India Hyundai will offer the refreshed model with both petrol and diesel engines.
- 1.4-litre VTVT petrol engine will produce 105 bhp, along with 138 Nm of peak torque. It delivers fuel efficiency figures of 17.43 kpl.
- 1.6-litre VTVT petrol engine will generate 121 bhp, along with 155 Nm of peak torque. It delivers fuel efficiency figures of 17.01 kpl.
- The 1.4-litre CRDi diesel mill produces 89 bhp, along with 224 Nm of peak torque. The sedan return fuel efficiency figures of 24.8 kpl.
- The 1.6-litre CRDi VGT diesel mill produces 126 bhp, along with 259 Nm of peak torque. The sedan return fuel efficiency figures of 23.9 kpl.
The engines will be offered with optional manual as well as automatic transmissions.
Hyundai designers have redesigned the front grille, fog lamps, headlights and bumpers in the front. The rear features a hidden exhaust pipe and all-new LED tail lamps. The interior has also been spruced up for a more premium and upmarket feel within the sedan.
Pricing of the new 4S Verna Fluidic has not been revealed by Hyundai. It will have to compete with Honda CIty, Volkswagen Vento and Maruti Suzuki's Ciaz all of which are well priced. Stay tuned for more updates from the launch on 18th February, 2015.
