Hyundai Recalls 10,800 Genesis Coupes In The United States
oi-Dennis
By Dennis
Hyundai has issued a recall for 10,800 Genesis coupes in the United States to fix an issue with a misaligned differential. The recall affects cars that were produced between December 28, 2011, and April 6, 2015.
The issue occurs when the differential has been misaligned with the crossmember of the rear suspension. The misalignment may loosen the bolts securing the differential which in turn could lead to the driveshaft totally disconnecting. A disconnected driveshaft will lead to a total loss of power to the wheels. The issue only affects cars with the six-speed manual transmission.
Owners have been asked to get their vehicles to their local dealership where Hyundai will "verify the proper assembly of the differential."
