This sub 4-metre compact SUV will compete head on with Ford EcoSport and Mahindra's upcoming compact SUV model. It is more likely to be developed on the Elite i20 platform for Indian market.

The Creta from Hyundai currently exceeds 4 metres in length and does not get tax benefits offered to smaller vehicles. It competes with the likes of the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano compact SUVs.

Hyundai's new sub-4-metre product will be priced competitively against Ford's EcoSport. It will most probably be powered by the petrol and diesel engines that do duty in their Elite i20 hatchback.

Showrooms have witnessed great response to the Creta and Hyundai is more than capable of recreating this magic. Designers will provide the Fluidic design philosophy to the sub-4-metre model.
