Hyundai India Shuffles Top Level Executives; Y K Koo To Take Over As MD

Hyundai India's Managing Director position is to be taken over by Y K Koo, effective November 8, 2015. Koo will succeed B S Seo, who is the current Managing Director for the South Korean carmaker in India.

Seo will return to the company's headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. Seo has lead the carmaker in India for over five years now, and Koo, is back for his third stint with Hyundai, after serving in other capacities in India earlier.

As part of the carmaker's restructuring, the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing will be taken over by B S Jeong and the Corporate Affairs team will be lead by Y. J. Ahn. The current head of Corporate Affairs, Y K Lee, will also return to South Korea.

All the above changes will be effective from November 8, 2015.

Hyundai recorded its highest ever domestic sales in October 2015, having sold 47,015 units. Car models such as the Hyundai Creta, Elite i20 and the Grand i10 played a major role in the company's sales in October.
