Hyundai India Hike Price Across Models; Creta Unaffected Currently
Hyundai India has hiked the price of all their models in the country from 1st of August, 2015. Creta compact SUV that was launched recently remains unaffected at this moment.
Korean based manufacturer has decided to increase prices by a maximum of INR 30,000. Various models will be affected differently, however, smaller models like Eon and i10 will be affected marginally.
Currently there is no clarity as to how much the price hike will affect each model. We believe Hyundai will ask INR 30,000 more for its Santa FE model, while other models will be charged accordingly.
Officials are claiming this price hike is being implemented to offset rising cost and raw material prices. Indian automobile market is highly competitive and fluctuations are a given.
At this very moment Hyundai is offering ten models in India, out which only nine will be affected by this price hike. Eon, i10, Grand i10, Xcent, Elite i20, i20 Active, 4S Fluidic Verna, Elantra and Santa FE.
