Hyundai i20 Active Gets A 2016 Facelift For Brazilian Market

Hyundai i20 Active crossover is sold in the Brazilian market as the HB20X model. The carmaker will be offering an all-new look to the crossover. Hyundai Brazil will be providing the crossover with a facelift and here are a few images of it.

In Brazil, the new and updated HB20X crossover is priced at BRL 55,395 (approx. Rs 9.35 lakh) for the base variant. The fully-loaded Hyundai HB20X model is priced at BRL 66,485 (approx. Rs. 11.23 lakh).

Most noticeable changes are an updated headlight unit with projector lights and blue Daytime Running Lights. The front grille has also been designed for a more aggressive look. Displaying the vehicles crossover personality is the faux skid plate and black plastic endings across the bumper.

The updated HB20X or Active i20 gets an all-new 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential exchanges. Hyundai will not be using the 4-speed automatic transmission, which is offered in the Indian market. Brazil also gets a 1.6-litre engine, which is tuned to deliver 128bhp.

The HB20X gets an all-new multimedia system with blueMedia and a 7-inch touch screen. The screen gets Apple CarPlay and cell phone mirroring through Car Link.

There is a high possibility that Hyundai could follow similar design changes to India-spec Active i20. Hyundai HB20X will go on sale in Brazil by early 2016 and could be introduced in India at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
