Hyundai Creta Compact SUV Wins Indian Car Of The Year
Hyundai Motors is proud to announce that they have won the Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) award for the third year in a row. Previously, the Grand i10 won the prestigious award in 2014, while in 2015 the Elite i20 bagged the same award.
The 2016 Indian Car Of The Year award was won by Hyundai's Creta compact SUV model. In terms of sales as well, the Creta has beaten the segment leader. Hyundai dealers have reported over 74,000 bookings along with four lakh enquiries since Creta's launch in July 2015.
A jury consisting of 14 members has judged the Hyundai Creta as 2016 Indian Car Of The Year. Accepting the award were Y K Koo, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited and Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing Hyundai Motor India Limited.
The Creta compact SUV has a major advantage over its competitors. Hyundai has provided the Creta with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission with its 1.6-litre diesel engine. No other compact SUV maker in India offers automatic gearbox with a diesel engine.
