Hyundai Increases Production Of The Creta; Waiting Period Comes Down
The waiting period for the Hyundai Creta SUV has been reduced to three months, from six months. The Creta has witnessed solid demand ever since its launch.
The waiting period for the Creta was initially 10 months in some cities, and then reduced to six months for the automatic diesel variant. Dealers now claim that the compact SUV can be delivered by the end of January, if booked now.
Petrol models will be delivered earlier and the automatic diesel variant will be delivered in three months time is what the Hyundai dealers say. Also, the manual transmission diesel models will be delivered earlier than three months.
The reduction in delivery time for the Hyundai Creta could be because of the South Korean car manufacturer's increase in production, from 5,000 units per month initial plan, up to 10,000 units production per month in December.
The Hyundai Creta is available with a choice of three engines: 1.4-litre diesel, 1.6-litre diesel, and 1.6-litre petrol. The Creta's engines come paired either to a manual or automatic (diesel) gearbox.
