Hyundai To Increase Production Numbers For Creta
With the demand going high for the Hyundai Creta, the South Korean carmaker will increase the production of the new SUV by 16 percent to 7,000 units per month.
Having been launched just recently, Hyundai has already received 40,000 bookings and the company wants to cut down the waiting period for owning the Creta.
Rakesh Srivastava, the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hyundai Motors India Limited said, "When we launched the Creta, we were planning for about 6,000 units a month from July to December but considering the response, we have decided to increase by another 1,000 units from September by working together with our suppliers."
"We are sold out till December and we have decided to increase the output in order reduce the waiting period for our customers."
During the time of its launch, the Creta had received 15,000 bookings and at the end of August, the numbers stood at 40,000.
Looking at sales, Hyundai sold 6,783 units of Creta in July and 7,473 units in August.
