Honda Jazz Emerges Top Seller In India With 6,676 Units Sold In July
Honda India recently launched its Jazz premium hatchback in the country with high hopes. It would have to face tough competition from the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20 and Fiat Punto Evo.
The Jazz by Honda has reported selling 6,676 models in the period of July, 2015. It is by far their best-selling vehicle in the country and has surely attracted Indian buyers to premium hatchback segment.
The City sedan was Honda's second best-selling product in the country. It managed to rake in 5,180 customers during July, 2015 and is maintaining its monthly sales in Indian market.
The Mobilio and CR-V by Honda accounted for the lowest sales in July, 2015. The MPV accounted for 909 units and their SUV managed to sell 130 units, which is actually not too bad.
Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President, Marketing & Sales, HCIL, expressed, "We are extremely delighted to receive a great consumer response for all new Jazz."
He further added, "We would like to thank our customers for the continuous support to all our models and are confident that we will continue to do well in respective segments."
Overall, Honda has registered growth of 18 percent by selling 18,606 vehicles in July, 2015. During July, 2014 the Japanese manufacturer managed to sell only 15,709 vehicles, proving the Jazz was a much needed product in their portfolio.
