Honda India Registers Highest Ever Monthly Sales In March

Honda Cars India Ltd. is one of the leading four-wheeler manufacturers among the premium segment. Japanese based manufacturer has reported highest ever monthly domestic sales.

The manufacturer has reported selling 22,696 four-wheeler in March, 2015. Honda sold 18,426 vehicles during March, 2014, thus witnessing an increase of 23 percent, highest ever domestic sales.

Owing to the success of their vehicles, Honda India announced its highest ever annual domestic sales. They registered sales of 1,89,062 vehicles during FY 2014-2015, growth of 41 percent was witnessed over the corresponding fiscal year.

Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President, Marketing and Sales, HCIL, expressed, "The fiscal 2014-2015 has been extremely fruitful for HCIL. We are thankful to our customers for the great response we have achieved for Mobilio launched in July last year and their continued interest for other models."

He further added, "The new Honda City has achieved exceptional success with over 1 lakh sales in record 15 months. We are excited about the upcoming launch of Honda Jazz in the new fiscal and look forward to another year of good growth."

Here is the model wise sales breakup during March, 2015 in India:

• Brio - 1,642 units
• Amaze - 8,128 units
• City - 9,777 units
• Mobilio - 3,049 units
• CR-V - 100

The Honda City is by far one of their most successful products. They have registered selling 1,01,299 sedans in a span of 15 months. In a single month they have sold 9,777 of their fourth generation Honda City.
