Honda India Issue Recall For City, Civic, Jazz & CR-V; Airbag Issue
Honda India has issued a recall of several of their products offered in India. There seems to be an issue with their driver and passenger airbags, which affects four of their vehicles.
Here are the vehicles and model years that are affected by Honda recall:
- Honda CR-V manufactured during 2004-2011, the number of affected vehicles is 13,073.
- Honda Jazz manufactured during 2009-2011, the number of affected vehicles is 15,707.
- Honda Civic manufactured during 2003-2012, the number of affected vehicles is 54,290.
- Honda City manufactured during 2007-2012, the number of affected vehicles is 1,40,508.
Customers can also check personally if their vehicle is included in the recall. Honda has created a microsite, all you have to do is submit your 17 character Vehicle Identification Number by clicking here.
Airbag replacement by Honda India will begin from 12th of October, 2015. Authorised dealerships will contact customers personally and inform them if their vehicle needs airbag inflators to be replaced.
Vehicle owners need not be worried about extra cost as Honda India will replacing affected parts for free. This replacement is part of their global recall of vehicles due to an issue with airbags not deploying.
