Honda To Hike Price Of Models Sold In India From September
Honda recently launched its Jazz premium hatchback for Indian market and has a lot riding on it. They also showcased their BR-V compact SUV, which will make an appearance at 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
Japanese automobile manufacturer claims that they will now hike the price of their Indian models. They reason for hiking price is to offset the rise in raw materials required by the manufacturer.
This will be third price hike from Honda India within 2015, previously they hiked prices during January and April of 2015. Now during September, 2015 they will announce the amount of hike.
Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have already hiked the price of their models sold in India during August, 2015. Honda India will be following them and we will have to wait and see, which model is affected most by the hike.
Currently Honda offers the following models in India:
- Brio hatchback is priced at INR 4,46,938
- Amaze compact sedan is priced at INR 5,53,951
- Jazz premium hatchback is priced at INR 5,56,994
- City sedan is priced at INR 7,94,340
- Mobilio MPV is priced at INR 7,08,386
- CR-V SUV is priced at INR 23,32,340
All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Mumbai and of base models.
It is most likely that Honda will not alter pricing of its recently launched Jazz premium hatchback. We expect City and Amaze to witness maximum hike in price by Honda India. Stay tuned for more updates and complete breakdown of new pricing.
