Car Sales: Honda Cars Register 17 Percent Growth In January

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) register a growth of 17 percent in India for January 2015. The Japanese carmaker has sold 18,331 cars in January.

The January sales has been the highest Honda has recorded this fiscal. The company had sold 15,714 units in January last year.

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has registered 1,369 units of exported cars as well this month.

During the period of April 2014 to Jan 2015, Honda has had a growth of 47 percent, selling 149,464 units, compared to 1,01,370 units it sold last year.

The Honda City continues to be the best seller for Honda, selling 7671 units, followed by the Honda Amaze in second place selling 6709 units.

Speaking about the company's performance, Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President - Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said, "January 2015 has been an extremely good month for HCIL. We registered our highest monthly domestic sales of this fiscal contributed by strong sales momentum for all the models."

"We are extremely thankful to our customers for their faith in us and we are confident of a strong performance through the year."
