Honda Brio & Amaze Witness Price Hike In India During April
Japanese four-wheeler manufacturer, Honda has increased the price of its Amaze and Brio in India. This hike in price is to offset the increase in taxes on vehicles by the Government.
The Brio hatchback and Amaze compact sedan are popular products in India. Honda has increased the prices of these vehicles marginally and customers surely will not feel the pinch too much.
The hatchback will witness a bump of Rs 600, while the compact sedan will cost Rs 800 more than before. Other models in Honda portfolio have not been affected by the increase in taxes.
Honda offers five vehicles in India which are placed in different segments. Brio is their base model, followed by Amaze, City, Mobilio and CR-V. They also plan on introducing a few new products in 2015.
Previously Honda had hiked the prices throughout its range due to the discontinuation of excise benefit. The maximum that it hiked the price was of its SUV model by INR 60,000.
This minor hike is most likely not going to affect anybody and customers will be willing to pay. Honda has its own followers and fans, buying a Honda vehicle is more of a prestige issue among many.
Honda is most likely going to launch it new Jazz premium hatchback in India markets within a few months. There are also talks of a compact SUV for India and we would like to see the HR-V coming to our shores.
