Gaurav Gill Of Team MRF Nominated For Arjuna Awards
India's top rally driver, Gaurav Gill will be competing in the second round of Asia Pacific Rally Championship. It will be held on 15th May, 2015 as the Rally of New Caledonia.
The Indian drives for Team MRF Skoda will be highly motivated for upcoming rally. Gaurav Gill has been nominated by Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India for Arjuna Award.
Gaurav Gill, expressed, "I got the news after completing the recce that my name has been recommended by the FMSCI for this year's Arjuna Awards."
He further added, "It's a huge honour for me, and gives me the extra motivation to win this rally. But as of now, I am completely focussed on the job at hand."
The Indian rally driver is currently second in drivers championship ten points behind Pontus Tidemand of Sweden. Team MRF Skoda, however, is on top in the team championship standing with 89 points.
Team MRF Skoda and Gaurav Gill will look at extending their lead in the championship at Rally of New Caledonia. There will be two super special stages for fans in the capital of Noumea.
