Formula One 2015 Monaco GP Updates Prior To Qualifying

Entire Formula One paddock will be present in Monaco over the weekend. Here are the news, rumours and everything in between as well from the Formula One arena.

The weekend began with Lewis Hamilton extending his contract with Mercedes AMG Petronas team. He will be receiving 100 million Pounds to race under current livery.

McLaren Honda seems certain to secure their very first points during 2015 F1 championship. Fernando Alonso showed tremendous improvement and was in fifth place in P2.

The Spaniard is not counting his chickens before they hatch and is certain that both qualifying and race will be tough. Monaco GP is not the most fastest and overtaking is impossible, qualifying high will be top priority for McLaren and their drivers.

Scuderia Ferrari's top driver, Sebastian Vettel has recently commented that F1 can get interesting once the Fear Factor returns to it. We are unclear for whom the sport should be fearful and if anyone will take his comments seriously.

A new set of rules and regulations were prepared for 2017 championship, however, it has not been approved yet. Most prominent rule change was to bring back refuelling of vehicles.

They also want teams to make their cars look more aggressive and aerodynamic. Formula One will also use wider tyres for 2017 championship and drivers can choose use of compound according to their style.

Monaco GP will be contested from 23rd May to 24th May, 2015. Qualifying will be on Saturday at 17:30 IST and Raceday will be at 17:30 IST on Sunday.
