Formula One 2015 Japanese GP Rosberg Steals Pole Position
2015 Formula One Japanese GP practice session was plagued by heavy rainfall. The team and drivers decided to participate as the race could be a wet one and they need track information.
Qualifying session is over at and grid places have been decided for 2015 Japanese GP. Both Ferrari and Mercedes did not look menacing in wet conditions of Suzuka International Racing Course.
In the dry, however, Mercedes-AMG Petronas rose to the occasion. Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton have locked out first row at 2015 Japanese Grand Prix.
Second row is occupied by Valtteri Bottas of Williams, he will be accompanied by Sebastian Vettel. Starting fifth on grid will be Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen sits sixth for Japanese GP.
Daniil Kvyat did not set a time in the final session of qualifying. He had a major accident and has walked away from it. He will start from tenth position for the race, provided his team can repair his machine.
McLaren Honda woes continued at Japanese GP with Fernando Alonso setting 14th fastest time and Button going only 16th fastest. There are still rumours of Button announcing his retirement this weekend.
Tomorrow's race is scheduled for 53 laps and the red lights go off at 10:30 IST. It will be interesting to see who wins the race as Scuderia Ferrari seems to have hidden some of their pace.
