Formula E: Mahindra Racing Team Successfully Completes Donington Test
The Mahindra Racing Team will be competing in the second season of Formula E with a new car. The Indian based team has begun pre-season testing at the Donington Park circuit.
Both Bruno Senna and Nick Heidfeld have successfully ended four days of testing with their new equipment. Karun Chandhok was recently replaced by Heidfeld based on performance in season one.
On Day Four of testing, Bruno Senna was third fastest and 0.750 seconds behind the leader. Nick Heidfeld registered the fourth fastest lap time and was just 0.004 seconds slower than his teammate.
The next and final preseason testing session is set to take place on 24th and 25th of August, 2015. It will be interesting to see if Senna and Heidfeld can improve their pace and get closer to the leaders.
For season 2 of Formula E Mahindra Racing has developed a new race machine called M2 Electro. The Indian team will provide their vehicle with an all-new gearbox, invertors and motors.
Mahindra Racing is serious about Season Two in Formula E and are looking at better overall results. In Season One, the Indian team finished at a less-than-impressive eighth place out of ten teams.
