Ford India was down in terms of domestic wholesales as they sold 5,253 units compared to 6,356 units in the corresponding month last year.
Export of their vehicles is on a constant high and it seems evident that Ford will turn India into its manufacturing hub soon. Their export of vehicles grew from 5,449 vehicle in March, 2014 to 10,522 vehicles in March, 2015.

He further added, "India is a key market for Ford and with our Sanand plant being operational, Ford is stronger than ever to provide cars and utilities that customers want and value. We plan to introduce three new models in the next 12-18 months with leading quality, fuel efficiency, safety, smart design and value."
Ford India recently inaugurated its new facility in Sanand, Gujarat. They will manufacture their new compact sedan the Figo Aspire from this facility. The American manufacturer also plans to bring its iconic muscle car to India the Mustang.
