Ford Inaugurates First Vehicle Customisation Centre In Chennai
American automobile manufacturer, Ford has a strong presence in India. They currently offer Figo, Classic, Fiesta, EcoSport and Endeavour in India. Ford India plans to launch the all new Figo hatchback and compact sedan in 2015.
Ford India likes to be the first in everything they do. The American based manufacturer is now the first manufacturer to setup their very own vehicle customisation centre. This centre has been inaugurated in Chennai to provide an enhanced ownership experience.
John Cooper, vice president Customer Service Division at Ford Asia Pacific, commented, "Customers today view vehicles as an extension of their own personalities and are keen to customize their cars to stand out from the clutter. Our customers today are socially conscious who don't compromise and want things done their way."
He further added, "Adding to the overall brand ownership experience, we will provide customers peace of mind through premium quality customization options that they can trust without compromising on safety, quality or vehicle warranties."
The new Vehicle Personalisation Centre is situated close to Ford's Chennai facility. The centre is spread across 35,000 square feet and will currently cater to only its urban SUV the EcoSport. Currently only three customisation options are on offer.
Ford Vehicle Personalisation Centre will customise EcoSport with three option:
- First will be a spare wheel cover pack for all of their EcoSport trims
- Premium alloy wheels will be on offer for EcoSports Ambiente and Trend variants. It will be called as the Alloys Pack and include a rear spoiler as well
- They will offer a Sports Pack, which will be offered only on EcoSports Titanium and Titanium (O) variant. Ford will include LED scuff plate, rear spoiler and roof cross-bar
Ford will offer these customisation options to customers when individuals opt to a buy an EcoSport. Owners of the urban SUV can choose from either of the option packs on offer. The option packs have been priced at an affordable price and will provide premium quality and satisfaction to the owner.
