Fiat To Launch A Limited Edition Punto In India
Fiat India will launch the Punto Evo in a limited-edition avatar soon. The hatchback is most likely to be called Punto Evo Sportivo and will have several features and design updates. Fiat has not provided a date for this launch; however, it could be coming very soon.
The Punto Evo Sportivo will be based on the hatchbacks base variant ‘Active'. Fiat India will provide the limited-edition hatchback with several new features. The exterior design will also be updated for a sporty avatar, which sets it apart from the base model.
Fiat will provide all-new 15-inch alloy wheels, wider body kit, rear spoiler, sporty decals, contrasting roof colour, and chrome accent on the Outside Rear View Mirror (ORVM). All these features are expected to provide the Punto Evo Sportivo a sporty persona over its regular counterpart.
Moving to the interior, the Fiat Punto Evo Sportivo shows off new seat covers, door sill plates, new floor mats, rear parking sensor, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen entertainment system with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
Currently, Fiat India offers the Punto Evo Active variant in petrol and diesel fuel type. The petrol hatchback sports a 1.2-litre engine and costs Rs. 4.99 lakh ex-showroom onward. The diesel avatar of Punto Evo gets a 1.3-litre Multijet engine, which costs Rs. 5.95 lakh ex-showroom onward. The Punto Evo Sportivo will be offered with the standard engines (1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel).
We expect the pricing to be higher than the base variants by an additional amount of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000/-.
Recently, Fiat India introduced the Abarth Punto and Abarth Avventura models. The Punto Evo Sportivo will be the third model to be launched in India with the Abarth badging. The Abarth Punto and Abarth Avventura are locally manufactured at Fiat's Ranjangaon facility.
