Fiat India Commences Booking Of Abarth Punto For INR 50,000
Fiat showcased the Abarth Punto hatchback, during the launch of the first Abarth product in India—the 595 Competizione model.
Abarth Punto's bookings have officially commenced in India, and dealerships are now taking up bookings for INR 50,000. The Abarth Punto, will be the first Abarth model to be made in India. Fiat has a manufacturing plant at Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.
Powering the Abarth Punto will be a 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine, developing 145 horsepower. No further details have been provided, however, it is most likely to get a manual transmission.
The Abarth Punto is most likely to be launched within a month's time, and will be made available through over 100 exclusive dealerships across the country.
From the images we have, Abarth Punto will be available in two colours for the Indian market. The first being Black with Red highlights option, while the second, a matte Grey with Orange accent.
The Interior is expected to get a visual update with special seat covers, foot pedals, and the Scorpion logo on the steering wheel, which will be a constant reminder of what you're driving.
