Fiat Aegea Images: 2016 Production Model Revealed
The Fiat Aegea production model has been spotted at a dealership in Turkey. The Aegea is rumored to replace the Fiat Linea in India.
The name Aegea—derived from the Aegean Sea, will be manufactured in Turkey, and exported to other countries worldwide. However, if Fiat decides to bring the Aegea to replace the Linea, it will be locally produced.
The FCA Design Centre in Italy has reportedly invested USD 1 billion into this project. Development was achieved with the help of 2,000 engineers and 3 years of hard work.
If brought to India, the Aegea will sport a diesel engine and two petrol engines. The existing engines in the Linea could be used.
The Fiat Aegea sedan could be offered with a choice of either a manual or an automatic transmission option. But the main question still remains—will Fiat bring the Aegea to India? And if it does, when?
