Fenyr SuperSport (900+ Bhp) Supercar Unveiled At Dubai Motor Show
W Motors, the Lebanese car maker behind the Lykan HyperSport has unveiled their second model — the Fenyr SuperSport. Their flagship car (Lykan HyperSport) was limited to only seven examples and was priced at $3.4 million. The Fenyr SuperSport, on the other hand, is planned to have 25 units built per year with a price tag of $1.85 million.
The Fenyr SuperSport is a direct rival to the Bugattis' and Ferraris'. On the performance front, this car can achieve speeds of 0 – 100km/h in less than 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 400+ km/h. For the record, the Super Sport version of the Bugatti Veyron reached a top speed of 430.9 km/h (recognised by Guinness World Records), and can achieve speeds of 0 – 100km/h in 2.46 seconds.
Powering the rear-wheel-drive Fenyr SuperSport is a 4-litre, flat-six engine. The company has confirmed the Fenyr's engine is capable of delivering from 900bhp and 1,200Nm of torque, which kind of hints there will be different engine power configurations on offer. The Fenyr will feature Porsche's seven-speed dual clutch PDK with paddle shifters and limited slip differential.
The Fenyr SuperSport features advanced aerodynamics, lightweight forged alloys, tubular lightweight aluminum chassis, carbon-fibre body, and ceramic composite brakes.
On paper and from the images, the Fenyr SuperSport is a dream, but does it have what it takes to compete with super luxury cars such as the Bugatti Veyron, Hennessey Venom GT, Ferrari LaFerrari, Koenigsegg CCX, and the Mclarens'? The Lykhan HyperSport fell short of expectations; however, the Fenyr SuperSport promises better performance. Stay tuned to find out if the new addition delivers on its promise.
