Delhi Bus Crises Sorted, City To Get 1000 New Buses Soon!
Delhi, the capital city of India has been witnessing severe crisis with public transport buses since there was a shortage in their numbers.
Now there is a bit of good news as the city will get around 1000 new buses.
Gopal
Rai,
the
Transport
Minister
has
asked
the
Delhi
Integrated
Multi-Modal
Transit
System
(DIMTS)
to
add
1,000
new
orange
buses.
The
new
fleet
will
consist
300
AC
buses
as
well,
which
will
ply
on
the
roads
within
six
months,
after
land
has
been
sorted
for
depots.
Rai said, "We have identified land, which will soon be given to DIMTS, for building new bus depots so that new buses could come on the roads."
"We have asked the agency to operate 1,000 new buses, including 300 AC buses, once it is provided land for the depots. Government hopes that new buses will help us tackle shortage of buses after giving land to DIMTS and people won't have to face problems."
