Daimler Launches Mercedes-Benz SHD 2436: Super High Deck coach

Daimler India has launched the Mercedes-Benz SDH 2436 High deck Coach in India, and has also announced the start of sale. The begining of sale for the Mercedes-benz High Deck Coach was marked by handing over the first set of keys to KPN Travels in Chennai.

The coach is made by Daimler at its plant in Oragadam, near Chennai. The Bus is made of a unique aluminique body, which makes the bus the lightest in its class, and very fuel efficient.

Also, the bus features an active steerable tag axle, which helps the bus have a small turning circle diameter. Other features include 61 push-back seats, advance braking system, and a strategically placed fuel tank to enhance safety.

KPN Travels, headquartered in Salem, Tamil Nadu is one of the largest luxury coach operators in South India with a fleet size of over 330 intercity buses.
