Trailblazer From Chevrolet To Redefine Indian SUV Segment
Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV will be launched in the Indian market during October 2015. Previously the manufacturer had showcased and confirmed that the SUV will be introduced in the country.
So far Chevrolet India has not launched any product during 2015 and the Trailblazer SUV will be their very first. They have provided their existing line-up with updates during 2015.
Powering Chevrolet's Trailblazer will be a single 2.8-litre diesel turbocharged engine. It will generate 197 horsepower and 500.13Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission powering the rear wheels.
It is most likely that the Trailblazer will be offered only in 4x2 drive option. The SUV will be capable of accelerating to 100 kph from a standstill in a matter of 9.89 seconds. Chevrolet's Trailblazer weighs in at an astounding 2,068 kilograms.
Chevrolet India will be importing their Trailblazer from Thailand as a Completely Built Unit or CBU. It is expected to bear a pic tag of INR 28 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be offered in a single trim fully-loaded package.
Trailblazer SUV will witness tough competition in India from the likes of Hyundai Santa-Fe, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. All mentioned SUVs are priced in the similar price bracket and are popular among Indian SUV buyers.
American based automobile manufacturer had also showcased its Spin MPV in India recently. So far, there is no news as to when this model will be introduced in the country and is expected to be a more advanced model of their Enjoy MPV.
