Chevrolet To Develop Compact Sedan Based On Beat By 2017
American based automobile manufacturer Chevrolet recently announced several details on future plans in India. They also showcased their Trailblazer SUV and Spin MPV at the event.
They have also promised to launch several new products in the coming years in India. Chevrolet will also double up its investment in the sub-continent, thus, showcasing confidence in the market.
Beat has been their most attractive hatchback and it has done well both internationally and in India. Global markets are soon going to receive an updated version of Beat hatchback by Chevrolet.
Compact segment is growing in popularity in Indian market and Chevrolet would like to be a part of it. They will be launching their compact sedan by early 2017 as part of their multiple launches.
Chevrolet will use the Beat as their base for its 2017 compact sedan for Indian markets. It is too early to announce engine options, however, we are sure it would share engine with its hatchback version.
American manufacturer would be entering the segment late and it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against competitors. Beat compact sedan will have to compete with Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Zest and soon to be launched Ford Figo Aspire.
