German luxury car manufacturer, BMW has been setting records from the very beginning. Now they confirm that they have produced their two millionth 1-Series model. It is a huge achievement for the power packed hatchback.
This landmark has been rolled out from BMW's Regensburg facility. The two millionth 1-Series will be offered to a lucky owner in Japan. It will be a 5-door 120i model, which will be fitted with their M package. The hatchback gets a special Estoril Blue metallic paint job.
BMW 120i model gets a four cylinder petrol 1598cc engine. It generates 177 horsepower, along with 250 Nm of peak torque. The hatchback can achieve a top speed of 225 km/h and it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of 7.2 seconds.
The German automobile manufacturer has confirmed that it will be unveiling its new BMW 1-Series globally on the 28th of March, 2015. They promise the new hatchback will be more dynamic to look at and will provide even more fun behind the steering wheel.
BMW's 2015 1-Series will be offered in both 3-door and 5-door options. The German manufacturer will offer three as well as four cylinder engines, along with petrol and diesel fuel options. A single in-line six cylinder M Performance TwinPower Turbo engine will also be offered.
On the new BMW 1-Series full LED headlights will be fitted with iDrive operating system. Radar cruise control, Stop/Go function, Parking assist, Camera-based driving assist, Intelligent Emergency Call and BMW TeleServices will be offered. The German manufacturer will also offer a host of additional features for its hatchback.
