Audi To Open World's First Modern & Eco Friendly Paint Shop

German luxury carmaker Audi has started construction of its new paint shop at its factory in Ingolstadt, Germany. This facility will have modern robotic technology that will paint vehicles automatically.

Employees at this facility will be painting the first series car bodies for the new Audi A4.

Hubert Waltl, Board of Management Member for Production at Audi said, "With ultramodern equipment and manufacturing technologies, we are ensuring our Vorsprung durch Technik in production and thus safeguarding our highest product quality."

"The new topcoat paint line stands for the continuous growth of our company and the outstanding importance of the Audi plant in Ingolstadt."

This new facility will also be the world's most environment friendly paint shops.

The plant will operate with air circulation so that 80 percent of the cleaned waste air will be returned into the system and the waste air will be cleaned.
