Audi Q6 Electric SUV Will Be Launched By 2017-End
German luxury car manufacturer, Audi prefers being in the forefront of technology. They have now teased us with the image of their upcoming electric SUV. The manufacturer will christen this four-wheeler as Q6.
Audi's new Q6 is being built on their MLB platform. The electric SUV will be based on the company's Q7 model, however, it will use an electric batter pack. This vehicle could have a battery pack as big as a 100kWh.
The Q6 is still being developed and it is far away from its production phase. Audi confirms that their electric SUV will be launched globally by 2017-end. It will borrow design cues from the German manufacturers Prologue concept vehicle.
Audi's electric SUV will be designed under the watchful eyes of their new Design head, Marc Lichte. The Q6 will be a 5-door SUV and will look sporty compared to other SUVs siblings. In terms of features the Q6 will receive similar components like the next-gen Q7.
Tesla Motors is also developing their very own electric SUV known as the Model X. The Q6 electric SUV by Audi will directly compete with Tesla's upcoming Model X. It will also rival the X6 by BMW, Mercedes-Benz MLC and Range Rover Sport.
